Global tire top 75 ranking competition intensifies
On October 10, the European Rubber Magazine (ERJ) released a new global tire company ranking.
The rankings are based on the companies' fiscal year 2022 sales.
Among the 75 tire companies selected, there are 36 Chinese tire companies (including Taiwan). Zhongce, Zhengxin, sailun, Linglong, into the global tire top 20. Among them, Zhongce and Zhengxin ranked 9th and 10th respectively, and were the only two Chinese enterprises in the top ten.
Overall, the European tire industry is still a world leader. Michelin, as the world's largest tire manufacturer, is far ahead of second place Bridge stone. Continental, in fourth place, is closing in on Goodyear.
At the same time, Pirelli is also in the sixth place to try to overtake Sumitomo Rubber. Yokohama Rubber, ranked eighth, also has a strong competitive edge and strives to be among the top six. The company completed the acquisition of Trelleborg wheel systems this year and saw a significant increase in sales.
