7 tire industry projects included in the priority list

Recently, the 2025 Key Projects List for Weifang City and Above was officially released and implemented at the city's mobilization conference. A total of 145 provincial-level key projects were selected in Weifang, ranking second in Shandong Province, all of which are classified as implementation projects. Among them, seven tire industry-related projects have been successfully included in the provincial and municipal key project lists, injecting strong momentum into the upgrading and high-quality development of Weifang's rubber tire industry.

Three Major Provincial-Level Tire Projects Leading Industry Development

Among the announced provincial-level key projects, three projects are related to the tire industry, covering tire manufacturing, rubber additives production, and mold manufacturing, further enhancing the industry's supply chain.

Shandong Superior Rubber Technology Co., Ltd. – Annual Production of 15 Million Tires Project

With a total investment of 5.16 billion yuan, this project has now entered the mass production stage, marking a significant breakthrough in high-end tire manufacturing and supporting Weifang’s tire industry in scaling up and advancing towards intelligent production.

Shandong Qisheng New Materials Co., Ltd. – Annual Production of 60,000 Tons of Rubber Additives and Supporting 60,000 Tons of Formaldehyde & 1,500 Tons of Chemical Intermediates Project

This project focuses on an essential upstream segment of tire production—rubber additives—providing higher-quality and more environmentally friendly raw materials for tire manufacturers, further strengthening the industry’s supply chain.

Shandong Gaomi Jianhao Mould Manufacturing Co., Ltd. – Annual Production of 100,000 Tire Molds, Automotive Molds, and Mechanical Components Project

Tire molds are a key component in producing high-performance tires. This project aims to enhance the precision and intelligence of mold manufacturing, driving industrial upgrades.

Four Municipal-Level Tire Industry Projects Supporting Local Economic Growth

In addition to the provincial-level key projects, Weifang has also included four tire industry-related projects in the municipal-level key projects list, covering high-performance tire production, new energy, green intelligent manufacturing, and high-end equipment casting.

Shouguang FIREMAX Tire Co., Ltd. – Annual Increase of 12 Million Sets of Ultra-High-Performance Eco-Friendly Semi-Steel Radial Tires Project

This project focuses on the production of high-performance and eco-friendly semi-steel radial tires, significantly enhancing the market competitiveness of Weifang’s tire products and meeting the global demand for low rolling resistance and durable tires.

Shandong Daye New Energy Co., Ltd. – Zhucheng No. 3 & No. 4 Distributed Wind Power Projects

This project represents a key step towards the green and low-carbon transformation of the tire industry by integrating new energy solutions, contributing to China's carbon neutrality goals.

Shandong Daye – Annual Production of 200,000 Tons of Green Intelligent Manufacturing Steel Cord Project

Steel cord is the core reinforcement material for tires. This project, utilizing green intelligent manufacturing technology, not only improves the performance of steel cords but also strengthens the local supply chain for the tire industry in Weifang.

Haomai – Annual Production of 65,000 Tons of High-End Casting for Key Equipment Components Project

As a well-known domestic tire mold manufacturer, Haomai's project will focus on producing high-end casting components, providing higher precision and stronger equipment foundations for the tire industry, accelerating industrial transformation.

Advancing Weifang’s Tire Industry Towards Intelligence, Sustainability, and High-End Manufacturing

The seven key tire projects included in this initiative cover tire manufacturing, raw material production, mold manufacturing, intelligent equipment, and new energy, reflecting Weifang’s comprehensive planning across the tire industry supply chain and demonstrating its commitment to intelligent, sustainable, and high-end manufacturing.
